The iBUYPOWER AI Halo Mini PC will start at $3,999 with 128GB of shared memory and a 1TB SSD. That puts a large memory pool in a small desktop aimed at people running AI models, creative software, and development tools on their own hardware.
iBUYPOWER announced the machine on October 8. In an October 14 report, TechRadar said the company confirmed that the starting price includes the SSD. The launch is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026, without an exact shipping date.
A Small PC With Plenty of Shared Memory
The machine uses AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495, with 16 Zen 5 CPU cores and 32 threads. AMD lists boost speeds of up to 5.2GHz, alongside Radeon 8065S integrated graphics with 40 compute units.
The 128GB of LPDDR5X memory is shared between the CPU and GPU. It is not 128GB of RAM plus a separate graphics memory allocation.
For local AI, that shared pool is the interesting part. A model that exceeds the memory of a conventional graphics card may fit in a system like this, depending on how much memory the software makes available and what else is running.
Storage and Networking Get Some Room Too
According to iBUYPOWER’s announcement, the enclosure measures 70 × 198 × 200mm. It has three M.2 storage positions and can be configured with up to 8TB of storage.
There are also two 10Gb Ethernet ports, two 40Gbps USB4 ports, Wi-Fi 7, and an SD card reader. That gives it useful connections for moving model files, accessing network storage, and attaching external drives.
The processor includes an NPU rated at up to 55 TOPS. That rating describes the NPU’s peak operations, rather than how quickly a language model will generate text.
What We Still Need to See
The published specifications tell us how much hardware fits inside the box. They do not yet tell us its sustained local AI performance, fan noise, or power use under a long workload.
More memory can help a larger model fit, but it does not automatically make that model fast. Quantization also changes the requirements considerably, as we covered in how quantization makes local AI models smaller.
For now, the confirmed starting configuration pairs 128GB of memory with a 1TB SSD for $3,999. Larger storage options will cost more, and buyers still need to wait for the exact release date and tests of the finished machine.
